Habi Footwear is in partnership with an urban poor community (Kawan ni Sto. Nino) in Quezon City. This community is under the Diocese of Novaliches, St. Peter’s Parish. The community is situated near the vicinity of Old Balara in Commonwealth, Quezon City; and consists of around 300 families. Most mothers in this area are homemakers, and thus devote themselves to caring for children, doing household tasks, and volunteering in church activities. There are currently seven mothers who are working with Habi.

These mothers weave the rags for Habi shoes and get paid Php40-Php60 for each pair(this is three times the market price). Habi hopes to benefit its partner community through hard and soft skills training in the form of livelihood programs, financial literacy, and team building activities. Another goal of HABI is also to help the community form a
cooperative.
